| Situated just a mile from the delightful little Northumbrian town of Haltwhistle, Whitchester Farm Cottage is a superb place for great relaxing and adventurous family holidays, or group get togethers. Haltwhistle has been in existence since the Roman occupation of the British Isles, and a stay at the cottage is the ideal opportunity to experience the many Roman sites dotted in and around Hadrian's Wall from Newcastle to Carlisle.

The cottage is open all year round and is situated on a working dairy and sheep farm, so you will be delighted to see the farm animals each day. Surrounded by lush green fields and countryside the cottage is located in one of the refurbished farm buildings adjoining the farmhouse. It is very attractively furnished inside, and very cute outside.

This three star self-catering cottage features a newly renovated kitchen complete with washing machine, microwave, cooker, oven and fridge. In fact everything you'll need for a fantastic holiday: You will find a complimentary selection of hot beverages in the kitchen. There is also a table and chairs to seat four.

There are lovely comfy beds, plus there is also a cot available for little ones. The bathroom has a shower unit, and a selection of toiletries. Fluffy towels and all your bed linen are included in the rental. There is central heating throughout the cottage, and a lovely open fire in the sitting room, which has comfy chairs, and a TV with a DVD player.

Stay at the farm during lambing time and you could help out with all the new arrivals. So sweet! If you want to get involved with the day to day running of the farm at anytime of the year, of course you will be most welcome. It's a great opportunity for children to experience farm life and enjoy the animals!

Solid fuel and electricity are included in your stay. Well-behaved dogs are permitted on the farm, with an extra cleaning charge of £20.
