The beautiful village of Warkworth in North Northumberland is a delight to visit, and The Sun Hotel makes the perfect location for splendid holidays, or short breaks there. Situated directly opposite the famous castle, the hotel is positioned to make the most of the glorious views out towards the coast, as well as of the castle.
This 17th century Coaching Inn has a warm and welcoming feel, and heaps of character! It holds a great position within the village at the top of the high street, and has parking for all guest cars and coaches as well.
The stunning interiors and delightful rooms of the hotel are beautifully complimented by a large measure of really splendid old fashioned service you can count on to make your stay an exceptional one.
The Sun Hotel is a fabulous place to stay for a holiday in the area, as well as a lovely place to stay on business, or even just for a relaxing and mouth-watering meal.
Stay at the hotel and you have the choice of fourteen delightfully furnished rooms, all styled with great taste and care, plus en-suite facilities. They all have colour TV's, a modem point, a complimentary selection of hot beverages, and a shower: Hair dryers and trouser presses are available on request, and there is also a twenty four hour laundry service to take care of all your needs.
Cots are also available for those travelling with children. You'll find the views from most of the guest room windows of the hotel are of the castle. Naturally a full English breakfast is included in your stay.
For refreshments in the evening the Coquet Lounge and the Conservatory are the ideal spot, with dramatic views out over the river to the coast. This area can be hired for private functions and business conferences. The Castle Restaurant has a superb menu of Northumbrian, English and French dishes and wines to accompany them perfectly, and Coopers bar is perfect for a relaxing pre dinner drink.
