| The Reiver's Tryst can be found right in the centre of historic Berwick Upon Tweed, within its famous Elizabethan Walls, and is the perfect place to visit when you fancy a cup of tea or a hearty meal. This historically themed restaurant is based around the old clans and families (Raiders or Reivers) of the Borders region. The word tryst meaning 'meeting place' where the Reivers would plan their next raids, hence our name translated means "The Reiver's Meeting Place".
Inside you will find all sorts of memorabilia covering the walls, including photographs, flags and maps about the Reivers, as well as a soldier's breast plate and weapons. |
| The Reiver's Tryst restaurant is available for private functions and group bookings. We have a 50 seat restaurant where you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere, whilst looking out on Berwick's bustling streets, enjoy a drink or two or sample our fine food. Our meats are mostly supplied from a local reputable butcher. |
| We pride ourselves on our warm and friendly atmosphere which you will find all around the historic town of Berwick upon Tweed. |
| Hours vary according to season, so please check. We offer separate children's and OAP's menu. |
| This restaurant is a friendly family run venue priding itself on high levels of service and the loyalty of customers, both locals and visitors alike, who return time and again as friends rather than merely just customers. |
