With beautiful panoramic views and open skies, this centre for plants and gardens, established since 1998, is set just far enough off the beaten track, in the peace and quiet of the Northumbrian countryside.

Developed from green pasture fields, this 12 acre garden and arboretum is owned and designed by Horticulturist Plantsperson and Garden Designer Hazel Huddleston M.I.Hort., who has spent 35 years in the horticultural industry.

It offers a living exhibition and labelled growing collection of nearly 1000 types of trees shrubs, climbers, herbs, perennials & rock garden plants, all hardy in the North of England. It also includes: garden & arboretum walk, ponds, garden art, nature & fun trails, information displays & wild meadow.

This living encyclopaedia of hardy ornamental plants gives an inspirational Garden which is designed & planted to give colour and interest throughout the seasons, including foliage, flower, texture, colour and fragrance, and also to demonstrate the many aesthetic and environmental values of our rich heritage of plants.

It offers an individual and unique modern garden and plant design for visitors to enjoy, whether gardening beginner or plant connoisseur or just looking for a nice place to stop for a while at the Enroute Coffee Stop.

There are things to interest all ages with garden guides to give further information on i.e.: The Wild meadow, the various wildlife habits found here and the species of Birds and mammals most found here.

The Nurseries here at Longframlington Gardens, grow and offer for sale most of the plants that can be seen growing in the gardens - all container grown, in outdoor hardy conditions, for planting all year round.

Longframlington Gardens is easy to find – follow the brown visitor signs off the A697 along the B6345 Felton road for ¾ mile.
|
|
Suggested time of visit: 1-3 hours. (Flat outdoor waterproof walking footwear recommended).

Open – March 1st – October 31st every day 8:30 - 5:00 + evenings & groups by appointment. November 1st – Feb 28th open by pre-arrangement only.
