Being just to the south of the River Tweed, Scotland is only a few minutes from Norham. The 12th century castle ruins in the village are testament to its rich heritage. A heritage which has been documented by some of Britain’s most revered artists, including J.M.W Turner whose famous canvas of the castle can be viewed in the Tate gallery.

Of course, the beauty of the area combined with its heritage make it a desirable destination for any who enjoy peaceful countryside as well as the many outdoor activities associated with the region. The nearby rivers offer some exceptional fishing and the area abounds with splendid nature walks and cycling trails.

Each of the rooms have wardrobes and linen is provided. A second spacious bathroom with shower and W.C. is available to all guests.

Apart from the large sofa-bed, the open-plan lounge also has an armchair and conveniences like television, CD player and electric fireplace. The kitchen is fully fitted with lots of storage space, sufficient crockery and cutlery as well as a microwave, oven/hob and fridge/freezer.

The dining area leads onto the custom-made verandah, the ideal place to take in the view and enjoy a breath of fresh air. On sunny days, the enclosed gravelled area with the picnic table is a great place for an alfresco meal.

The outhouse provides secure storage for sporting goods like bikes and fishing equipment. Within the grounds there is also sufficient space to safely park 3 cars.
